The Fund for Investigative Journalism is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering and supporting investigative news coverage that exposes wrongdoing, corruption or injustice. The Fund is committed to operating efficiently and transparently.
Below are the Fund’s federal tax filings for each of the last 14 years. Every year, 80-90% of our budget is spent on program services, and less than 10% is spent on fundraising. The Fund has received GuideStar’s Silver Seal of Transparency for 2020 and the Catalogue for Philanthropy’s seal as One of the Best Nonprofit Charities for 2020-2021.
