The Fund for Investigative Journalism was founded more than 53 years ago, and we are committed to operating efficiently and transparently. Our financial reports for the last decade are posted online, as is information about our major funders. Every year, 80-90% of our budget is spent on program services and less than 10% is spent on fundraising. The Fund is recognized by Guidestar and the Chronicle for Philanthropy for transparency and strong fiscal management.
