Sarah Cohen

Sarah Cohen is a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter and editor who spent most of her career in investigative data journalism teams at The New York Times and The Washington Post. She also served twice as a Knight Chair in journalism, first at Duke University and later at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School. 
 
Cohen was an elected member of the board of directors of Investigative Reporters and Editors, where she served two years as president. She has also been an advisor to FIJ and served as a board member of local investigative journalism nonprofits. Cohen currently works with Stanford University’s Big Local News, where she works on stories for the New York Times’ local investigations fellowship and mentors Big Local members.
